Please educate the English: what is Pez?
Since I came here from Noodlefood comments, I should tell you that I too once shared a Gondola with Diana, Paul and others at OCON07 (I realised at St Sophia that I was going in the wrong direction and had to get off and rush round to catch the other one.)
I wasn't aware that PEZ was absent in England.
Anyway, PEZ are little brick-shaped candies that are loaded into little dispensers that are capped by plastic head (usually a cartoon character) that one pulls back to dispense the candies.

I also had some gondola trouble on the first day. I wasn't paying attention and got off halfway up the mountain without realizing I was nowhere near the village.
Ah, thank you. We have similar candies (sweets, as we say) but the little plastic dispensers are plain - no cartoon characters.
My gondola troubles did not end with the first day, though you wouldn't think the route could be all that hard to master. I'm bad with trains too. No OCON for me this year, maybe Boston in 2009.
