Faith and Force

As if history weren't replete enough with vivid examples:

Faith and force are corollaries, kids. When you abandon reason, you pick up a gun.

So what would have been the reasonable thing for these men to have done to express their dissatisfaction with abortion and war? Write a strongly worded letter to their local newspaper?

I'm not condoning their actions, or even saying that abortion or war is immoral, but what would you have done in their situation?

This isn't the "expression of dissatisfaction". This is the blind, belligerent malevolence of those who live by faith. They have abandoned all means of rationally dealing with other men, so they are left to the irrational: force.

I don't believe they even COULD express dissatisfaction. All some who has reached this point could do is scream and fire. They have so disconnected themselves from reality and the requirements of living in reality that it doesn't even occur to them to try to PROVE that they are right. They simply FEEL that they are right, and god help you if you disagree.
